WHILE abroad on a short break to Boston, Bere Alston Trekkers Pam and Dave Adams took part in the Bill's Pizzeria 5K.

This is a local run with 805 runners.  Dave came in 119 in 23.05 and Pam came 338 in 27.41. The club is very proud that club members managed to do a Sunday run even though they were 3000 miles away and were the only non-USA runners there!

Locally, two BAT members took part in the Sourton Scrambler.  One hundred and twenty eight runners entered and conditions were very good.  The course was generally flat apart from a character building 2k climb up to Great Nodden which certainly spread the field, a gentle climb across Southerly and Lake Down led to a flat downhill finish turning on Prewley Moor and running in on the Granite Way. The race was 10.7 Km (6.79 miles) Derek Hicks finished in 66th in a time of 60.06 and Ralph Elmes 77th in a time of 62.01
