BATS and sticklebacks will be on show at two evening events being organised by the Tamar Valley Service.
On Saturday, July 12, bat-lovers can join local botanist and conservationist Martin Summers, for a bat watching walk at Capel Tor, near Horsebridge.
An easy walk, games, the chance to see owls and learn about the habits of glow worms while enjoying hot soup, will provide an entertaining evening for adults and children alike.
Bere Alston School hosts the second event on Thursday, July 17, and takes a look at the development of the school?s pond in the six years since its creation.
Martin Summers will guide you through the small yet diverse pond, looking at sticklebacks and other pondlife.
There is no charge for either evening, and the limited places can be booked by calling Tamar Valley Service on 01822 610676. Bats at Capel Tor starts at 8pm and finishes late, the Bere Alston pond evening runs from 7-9pm.
