TAMWED — the West Devon Charity which supports communities in Tamil Nadu, India — is holding a fund-raising barn dance on Saturday, October 3 at 7.30pm.

The event, held at Lydford Village Hall, will feature 'Walter and the Hosepipe Banned' and is described by the organisers as 'another excuse to let your hair down'.

Tamwed, which was set up by Oz Osborne, works with non-governmental organisations in India to provide financial support, information, advice, volunteer labour and education in order to improve people's standard of living.

Refreshments will be available at the barn dance, but people (over 18) are asked to bring their own alcohol.
