l Organised by Dave McDowall the annual Burns' Night celebration at Tavistock Golf Club was a great success. More than 90 members enjoyed an excellent meal prepared by chef Nick Shapland.  His haggis, piped in by John Webb, was declared a triumph!  Members were entertained by traditional recitations given by Dave McDowall, David Young, Patrick Stewart, Bryan Newland, Paul Armstrong, David Crofton and Ian McKenzie.  Enthusiastic Scottish dancing then followed organised by Patrick Cashell and ably assisted by Nigel and Sally Timpson.
