THE manager of the Okehampton branch of Lloyds TSB will embark on a unique charity fundraiser next Friday.
Jacqueline Scant will undertake a sponsored 'cycle' ride on an exercise bike donated by Phoenix Health Club in the Okehampton branch on Friday September 30.
Her aim is to raise £1,000 for the bank's nominated charity, Save the Children, by attempting to cycle the equivalent distance from the Okehampton branch of Lloyds TSB to the Olympic Park in London, around 220 miles. Jacqueline is looking for sponsorship to help reach her target, either with a lump sum donation or a pledge for every mile she pedals.
Jacqueline said: 'I hope that as many customers and non-customers as possible are able to join me for what will be a fun day in order to raise money for a great charity.
'The bank's aim this year is to raise £1-million for Save the Children and so far we have achieved just over £700,000.'
If you wish to sponsor Jacqueline, you can donate in the branch before the event, on the day or up until Friday October 7. For more information, pop into the Okehampton branch of Lloyds TSB.
