FROM fish 'n' chips to rock 'n' roll — Tavistock man Will Gee is on the brink of stardom with his band, The Adventures Of . . .
Will is a fish fryer come bass player as he juggles work at Jack and Jill's fish and chip shop on West Street, and touring with his band The Adventures of . . .
Will began working at Jack and Jill's in August 2008, the same time as the band started landing important gigs and recording tracks.
Thanks to the support of his manager, Barry Tapping, he has been able to balance work with his music, and now he and his three band mates, Adam, James and Ollie, are preparing for their first UK tour.
The Adventures of . . . Rock 'n' Roll Circus promises fans a unique night of entertainment and is more cabaret than concert.
Jugglers, fire eaters and dancers warm up the crowd before the band performs their circus themed songs.
Will said: 'We came up with the idea long before the likes of Britney Spears and Take That. We all get into the spirit and play a role in the circus — Adam is the ring master and I'm a fairground ride controller. We have a lot of fun and so does the audience.'
When Will is not on the road, he works as many shifts as he can at Jack and Jill's.
He said: 'My manager has been really supportive of The Adventures Of . . . and I hope he and my other colleagues will come and see us play in London!'
The UK tour starts at the end of March and includes Tavistock, Plymouth, Exeter, London, Bournemouth and Southampton.
