A PLEA to street party organisers in West Devon was this week issued by the borough council.
Spokesman Alison Stoneham said the council would like to know as soon as possible if refuse collection will be required by party organisers.
Mrs Stoneham said: 'What we are asking people to do is contact us if they want to arrange for us to come and pick up extra rubbish.
'It's their responsibility to bag it up, but once it's bagged we'll come and pick up, but we do need to know as soon as possible.'
