A RESERVE school crossing patrol person is desperately needed for the Tavistock and Whitchurch area.
Andrew Eagles, county officer for the patrols, said at present there was no-one to cover when the existing people were off sick or off for some other reason. Next week the Callington Road crossing will have no-one to cover it.
The current rate of pay is £4.97 per hour.
Anyone who would be prepared to train and cover both sides in the event of sickness is asked to contact Mr Eagles on 01392 382247.
Mr Eagles reported that the recent permanent new recruit for Whitchurch Primary School was doing well, but it was essential to have someone to cover in case of emergencies.
