A CONVINCING performance after a week's lay-off with a disciplined first half performance.
Okehampton's back four controlled from the first whistle and when Dean Garrett split the home defence with a ball to the feet of Tim Shaw, who side-footed it past the keeper, they were in total control.
Axmouth defended well and only went in 1-0 down at half-time.
The second half saw Okehampton start off like the first. Robert Sandercock's high cross was fumbled by the home keeper for an own goal.
Axmouth then started to win more of the midfield and Okehampton had an uncomfortable 20 minutes where the home side looked more threatening
Axmouth had a goal disallowed after the ball had gone out for a throw in, but could not complain about the final result.
