OKEHAMPTON started well with the ball being passed through numerous hands to find Cooper out on the wing, he made good ground to go over in the corner. This was the first of his two tries. The forwards rucked well and dominated the scrum, to enable Nash to score with Ponsford converting. Number eight Pillivant made breaks from the back of the scrum and with Giles-Phillips made the hard yards, with Squire and Craddock clearing up behind the rucks and breaking away. Oke looked comfortable in defence while Baker and Punchard were winning their own ball and against the head. Liversidge had a good game at scrum half keeping their number eight at bay. Webb in the line-outs competed and caught well also scooping a pass from his boots to go on a trundle looking his second try of his career. Vincent and Crowhurst out on the wings tackled bravely.
The second half saw Heard intercept a pass on his own 22 and run the length of the pitch to score the first of his two tries underneath the posts. Simmons kicked one conversion. Burns kicked the other conversion and put in some big hits to unnerve the opposition. Craddock made a break from a set play, popped the ball up to Pillivant who was stopped short of the line, Francis in support kept the pressure on and crossed the line to score a try. The final try was scored by Okes' Ponsford.
