WEST Devon artist and illustrator Lucy Wilson is celebrating after receving a number of recent nominations and awards for her books, card illustrations and on-line personalised gifts.

Her beautifully illustrated journals in the 'From Me to You' series, such as 'From Bump to Birthday' and 'Our Story — For My Son/Daughter', have won gold in the Loved by Parents Awards and have been shortlisted for gift of the year at the recent Birmingham NEC Gift Fair and for the Practical Parenting and Pregnancy Awards.  

She has also been nominated in the National Stationery Awards in America.

Several TV celebrities have purchased her work for their children, including Holly Willoughby.

Lucy has a degree in applied arts from Brighton University and now lives in Milton Abbot with her two young daughters and TV presenter husband Steve Wilson.  

As a freelance illustrator, Lucy works mainly from her studio at home under her maiden name of Lucy Tapper.  

Her artwork is sold through her own website  and other outlets such as Not on the High Street, Getting Personal, Moonpig and Phoenix Cards.  

Her work is also sold via a daily stall in Tavistock's Pannier Market.
