The 23-year-old recently became the world's youngest person to run 100 marathons and spends much of his spare time competing in runs all around the country, raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process. Adam has also given up his time to run a weekly children's running group as well as helping to coach Tavistock Primary School's cross country team.
As well as winning the award, the Rotary Club presented Adam with a cheque for £200 and will be entering him in the national Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland Young Citizen Award Competition run in association with BBC News.
Tavistock Rotary Club's President Geri Parlby said: 'We are delighted to have been able to make this award to Adam. As well as being a world record breaker, he is tireless in his support for local charities making him an inspirational role model for young people in Tavistock.'
