THE Devon Vintage Car Club 'autojumbles' at Hatherleigh have helped to raise nearly £3,000 for charity.
The club organises two annual sales at Hatherleigh Market for vintage car enthusiasts to find spare parts for older and classic cars that may be hard to come by.
The two events, along with a small number of other fundraisers, have raised just under £3,000 for the charity MusicScape. The charity provides music therapy for children, young people and adults with a wide range of disabilities including autism and cerebral palsy.
Michele Scott, director of MusicScape, was presented with a cheque by car club president John Friend at a classic car display at Ivybridge on November 30.
Michele thanked DVCC for their donation and said: 'The sum donated will make a real different to the work we are able to carry out.'
The club has chosen Children's Hospice South West to be its charity for 2014, and is planning autojumbles in Hatherleigh for spring and autumn next year.
