MOST people know the Sherlock Holmes classic The Hound of the Baskervilles, but the version which The Tavonians will be performing in April will be a bit different.
It will be performed in the round without a set, with a small chorus or ensemble to 'evoke the moods of the moor'. A core troupe has been formed and they are now looking for additional committed individuals to work on this exciting project.
The director, Graham Dimmock, said: 'Anyone interested needs to be able to move really well and some contemporary dance experience would be useful; in addition there'll be chanting and other vocal sounds so a good voice is also helpful. In particular we'd like to find some male members of the ensemble including a couple who are strong enough to lift a member of the cast.
'It's more mature dancers that we'd really like to find now.'
There will be an open audition at The Ordulph Arms on Tuesday January 19 at 7.30pm. For more information contact Lizzie Brown on 01822 610846, [email protected]">[email protected], or Kim Brown on 01822 810711, [email protected]">[email protected]
