AFTER a fantastic response from a wide range of local artists Okehampton-based Get Changed Theatre Company is auctioneering more than 100 items in its forthcoming fundraising art auction on October 29.

A diverse range of items include a hand painted silk scarf, a turned oak candlestick, a patchwork quilt and many original watercolour, pastel and oil paintings.

Pictures by well known local artists like Kari McGowen and Mary Cole are attracting online bids via getchangedartauction.weebly.com/view-art.html

The final event will be a running auction throughout the day on October 29 from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Church House, South Tawton.

Visitors will be able to purchase refreshments throughout the day with light lunches and cream teas. There will also be stalls to browse and musical entertainment.

Get Changed is a not-for-profit organisation offering adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to build life skills, confidence and self esteem by developing and participating in performing arts.

Funds raised from the arts auction will help fund the current 'Respect' project which will culminate with a major production to be performed in April next year. To learn more about Get Changed or the auction event contact Pippa Tarr on 01363 82535.
