Auction going to be Grand at Union Inn

THE local sporting community are getting up geed up on Grand National night for a special fundraiser for Tavistock Community Football Club.

The evening is under starters at The Union Inn, in Taylor Square, Tavistock from 7.30pm on Thursday, April 7.

Organiser Allen Lewis from TCFC said: ' The evening is to raise funds for TCFC but I will be making a donation to the Cancer Trust as its 30 years since Bob Champion won the Grand National on Aldaniti.

'I am looking into some auction/raffle items at the moment.

'Francis Jasper, the landlord of the Union Inn who has helped me raise between £20-30,000 for charity in the past six years, will do a basket meal supper rather than tickets for the evening.'
