Okehampton U12s 49 Exeter Chiefs U12s 7 ATTACKING from the kick-off Okehampton?s forwards immediately began to make inroads down the left. A drive towards the Exeter line and good inter-passing gave Chris Knott the opportunity to crash over. Dan Curtis converted. Almost from the restart Chris Knott broke through on the right to score his second try, again converted by Curtis. With the forwards winning good clean ball the backs began to attack from deep and swift handling created a gap in the centre for Jamie Hignett to score in the corner. Jordan Lee converted. Exeter began to fight back and almost scored, good defensive work by Peter Gillard and Duncan Carter stopped the Exeter player from grounding the ball on the line. Okehampton again attacked, through their forwards initially and then the backs, driving to within five yards of the Exeter line. From the maul Matt Harding broke blind and scored in the corner. Lee again converted. From the kick-off Exeter kicked deep and forced a lineout near the Okehampton line. From the lineout Exeter recycled the ball through their forwards and their scrum half dived over. This spurred Okehampton into action and the ball moved along the Okehampton backs for Jamie to crash over for his second try. Minutes later from a scrum on the 22 Curtis went blind and swept past the Exeter defence to score, which he converted himself. With Thomas Mallet and Graham Glew outstanding in the loose further tries were scored by Peter Gillard and Jordan Lee, both as a result of outstanding work by the backs. Jordan Lee converted both.
