POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted by three men in Callington. On Sunday, June 22, at around 11pm, the 48-year-old man was walking home through the recreation ground and skate park on Saltash Road, when a man shouted at him. He turned around and was punched in the face and kicked in the ribs by one man and then kicked in the head by a second man. He believes a third man was also involved in the unprovoked attack. The victim suffered bruised ribs, cuts and grazes to his face and a suspected fractured cheek.
