GOALS from All Stars' Pete Gibson and Jeff Babb were the difference between the two sides in this traditional fun charity match at Langford Park in Tavistock on Saturday.
The cricketers, led by their second XI captain John McGahey, put up a stout defence to block Ashley's finest and even though the weather was ideal for 'swing bowling conditions' the Tavistock cricketers were stumped when it came to beating All Star 'keeper James Webber.
Organiser Ashley Tossell said: 'There were many rolling substitutes because of the age factor. It was all played in great spirit, well supported and great banter and advice coming from the touchline.'
Ashley is hoping that £100 will be raised from the match and this will go to the Heart Foundation and Thresher Ward in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
