A RENOWNED children's author and illustrator will be holding a special exhibition of her artwork in Chagford this weekend.

Babette Cole has written more than 70 picture books, winning several literary awards for her work, which includes 'Princess Smartypants' and 'Doctor Dog'.

She will be displaying her artwork in the Jubilee Hall on Sunday October 23 from 10am to 4pm. As well as being able to view her illustrations and buy original artwork and prints, Babette will perform readings of some of her work, and run a workshop on writing and illustrating children's picture books between 2pm and 3pm.
