A WEST Devon veterinary practice recently invited local school children to enter pictures and poems into a competition as part of National Pet Month. The pictures are displayed between the North Park branch surgeries in North Tawton, Okehampton and Hatherleigh. A spokesman for North Park said: ?All the entries were wonderful in their own way and with great difficulty prizes were allocated.? Travis Nicholls?s entry was the winner with Claire Munn, William Bedford, Kathryn Croom, Esther Feaver and Alex Berry all highly commended. Certificates and prizes were awarded to the children by Bryony Herrod-Taylor at Hatherleigh Primary School assembly. The spokesman added: ?Congratulations to all the children who entered, whether through their school or independently.? The pictures will be returned to their owners shortly.
