A NEW arts project is being staged in Tavistock, starting next month.
Seventy five participatory arts sessions are being offered.
Each session will last one and a half hours and will be led by an artist.
Workshops in film-making, animation, drama, circus skills, visual arts and creative writing will take place in a variety of community settings in and around the town.
If you are an artist interested in running a workshop or a group who would like to benefit from participating, there is an open invitation to attend the community planning session next Thursday, January 29 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at Tavistock Library.
Ruth Cohen, from Daisi, said: 'Participatory arts is all about people working alongside professional artists to produce their own creative work.
'It is often enabling and usually fun.'
The project is keen to work with all members of the community, especially older people, young people and people with a disability.
Rae Hoole, Daisi project manager, said: 'Come along to meet the arts wave Devon team and help plan the project.'
