OKEHAMPTON Primary School was targeted by arsonists last Thursday, who maliciously set fire to the children?s play area at the school. Some items of play equipment and the play surface area were damaged by the fire which was extinguished by firefighters. The incident occurred at approximately 5.45pm. l At 9.30am last Wednesday week, one fire appliance from Okehampton attended a high voltage electrical pylon fire on the A386 at Throwleigh Manor. Western Power Distribution also attended and quickly dealt with the situation.
