Okehampton First XV 45 Plymouth Civil Service 15 OKEHAMPTON started strongly turning sustained pressure into points when Dave Bickle darted through a gap on the blind side to touch down in the corner. Civil Service showed resolve under pressure and forced Okehampton back into their own half applying twenty minutes of solid pressure on the Okes? line. With some poor tackling and some handling errors Civil soon found themselves 15-5 up approaching half time. Bruce Griffths managed to pull some points back for Okehampton after some good forward work off the lineout. Andy Brimmacombe converted. After a stern talking to from chairman of selectors Andy Ewen, captain for the day Arnie Searle took the lead for Okehampton 35 seconds into the second half, after they recovered their own kick off. A couple of minutes later it was Andy Brimmacombe charging over the try line after some neat work from the forwards incorporating several support runners. Civil Service heads went down and Arnie Searle found himself in all the right places touching down another three times before the end whistle. Andy Brimmacombe kicked well all day and Colt Sam Turner, making his debut, claimed the man of the match award from second row. This week no game.
