CALLINGTON and Saltash CATS (Community Action Through Sport) has been selected as one of the three chosen beneficiaries of Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Romain Larrieu's testimonial year.
This is a celebration of Frenchman Romain's ten years at Plymouth Argyle, which kicked off with a prestige match against Premier League side Queen's Park Rangers last night (Wednesday).
Along with The Mustard Tree MacMillan Centre and Jeremiah's Journey, CATS will be receiving a donation of the proceeds from the evening's match.
The organisation received 50 free tickets to the event and had representatives from three primary schools in the area walking out on the Home Park pitch as mascots.
Romain Larrieu has been present at all four of the CATS awards evenings and has inspired the young people receiving awards for their voluntary and community work with his words of wisdom and encouragement.
Through CATS young people are awarded sports vouchers for the positive contribution they make to their community.
