Okehampton Argyle U14s 2 Ottery St Mary U14s 1 Not having played Ottery before Okehampton did not know what to expect and it soon became clear that they were a strong side and Argyle needed to pull out all of the stops. Bradley Ausden opened the scoring for Argyle after a lovely run down the left and from an acute angle found the back of the net. Ottery rose to the challenge and only some good defending from Ben Williams stopped them scoring. Okehampton played some excellent football with Luke Alden, Bradley Ausden, Harry Smith and Tom Boother all playing well together. Brad had an excellent run passing to Luke, who shot but the ball rebounded out to Harry whose shot was stopped on the line. Harry took the corner which found Ben's head to make it 2-0. The second half started and saw tempers flaring, however the referee had the game under control and play continued with some great football from both sides. Okehampton lost their shape a little bit and this let Ottery in to make it 2-1. Brad had another great run just before the final whistle, however his shot was just wide. This was a great win for Okehampton putting them third in the league.
