Braunton U14s 5
Okehampton Argyle U14s 1
Expecting an uphill challenge Okehampton put on a determined performance passing the ball well and not allowing the home team to dominate.
Braunton made it 1-0 after 18 minutes with a rare shot, however Okehampton soon pulled back when Eddie Packer rose above the defence to head home a Ruben Forrester corner.
By half time Broughton were 3-1 up.
Second half continued with Okehampton getting behind the ball, Jonnie Stanbury and Kyle May firm in their tackling.
Rhys Mellor-Bond and Sam Bolton combined well up front but without a striker on the day, failed to make their opportunities count.
This was a solid team performance by Argyle, commented on by Braunton management, and one to build on next week at home to Ilfracombe.
