THE opening 15 minutes were pretty even with both sides creating chances, Argyle's Stuart Cann twice going close to scoring. The best effort was a shot that hit the crossbar.

Sean Sandercock kept Okehampton in the game, coming out to save at the feet of the striker.

In the 35th minute, the Plymouth side took the lead when a ball played down the right wing was passed into the area and found their striker who turned smartly and chipped Sandercock. But the Argyle keeper put this out of his head and made a couple of good saves.

Okehampton were still in the game with Cann testing the keeper again.

The start of the second half was even with both sides missing good chances, but in the 49th minute Robbie Sandercock equalised for Okehampton after clipping the ball over the defender and then the keeper.

Shortly after Steve Hackett missed a chance when he delayed his shot and a defender blocked the goalbound effort.

In the 55th minute Lloyd Chapman won the ball following a corner. His run took him across the edge of the penalty area, his shot went through a crowd of players and into the top corner of the goal, to put Okehampton 2-1 up.

The game had turned Okehampton's way. Mike Vernon joined in the attacking play when he broke forward, but his shot went just over the bar.

On the hour Lloyd almost scored a carbon copy of his goal but the keeper managed to hold it.

Five minutes later Cann had a free-kick go just wide, James Williams was unlucky when he shot just wide and Paul Yip hit the post shortly afterwards.

In the 85th minute Okehampton were awarded a penalty after a foul on Robbie Sandercock, Steve Hackett smashed it past the keeper to seal the game 3-1.

This week Argyle are at home to Cullompton Rangers. kick-off 3pm, players to meet at the clubhouse at 2pm.
