Okehampton Argyle 3rds 3 Sandford 2nds 2 OKEHAMPTON welcomed Shaun Hiscock back to the starting line-up, along with Darren Prouse who was making his debut. Okehampton dominated the first 15 minutes creating chances for the lightning quick Shane Monnox. However Monnox was unable to convert these chances into goals. With Okehampton applying so much pressure it was only a matter of time before the first goal. Mark Hitchin blasted the ball from 25 yards into the net. Okehampton then conceded two sloppy goals and after dominating the first half went 2-1 down at half-time. Okehampton started the second half with much more purpose. After some good build-up play Monnox slipped the ball under the advancing keeper into the back of the net, only to be ruled out for offside. Soon afterwards Stuart Entwhistle found himself one-on-one with the keeper and calmly slotted the ball in for 2-2. With the game on a knife edge, some great saves from Ben Woodhouse kept Okehampton in the game. With 10 minutes to go, Monnox collected the ball on the left of the box and floated it over the keeper into the top corner. After a nervous last 10 minutes Okehampton held on to record an important victory Man of the match: Mark Hitchin This week home to Honiton Town 3rds.
