WALKERS are invited by Dartmoor Preservation Association to join them on a varied walk this weekend, exploring Whitchurch Common and visiting Pew, Heckwood and Feather Tors.
They will see prehistoric, medieval, 19th century and world war two archaeology, including a cist, reaves, a long-house, tin and stone working, leats and boundstones.
The walk is about four miles long, mostly easy moorland but some rough and possibly wet ground. Meet at 10.30am at the car park by B3357, east of Beckamoor Combe (SX 535 751) on Sunday January 22.
