Alison Cruse, of Sticklepath, came away from the October Okehampton Farmers? Market with more than she expected ? she won a cinema ticket for two. The competition was to guess the number of apples, supplied by Westlake Orchards, of Chilla, in a basket. The answer was 89, Alison?s guess was closest at 97. Alison said: ?This was my first visit to the market, I was really impressed by the variety of produce, I certainly wish the market every success and it was a lovely surprise to win the ticket ? I?ll be back!? Linda Davis, the market manager, said the New Carlton Cinema had donated another ticket for two to be won at the next market on Saturday November 17. The farmers? market is held on the third Saturday of every month at St James Chapel Square between 9am and 1pm.
