RESIDENTS of Buckland Monachorum have raised £1,500 for the cricket club at a national apple day dinner held recently.

With the support from the Drake Manor Inn, and the Buckland Monachorum community, £1,500 was raised to go towards the new pavilion for Buckland Monachorum Cricket Club and the junior academy.

The money was raised through a charity auction, which was conducted by John Talbot.

Organisers Celia Steven expressed thanks to everyone who generously donated items to be auctioned as well as thanks to everyone who attended and had fun bidding.

She said that the evening concluded with entertainment from Lodestone Morris Dancers and a delicious dinner by Mandy Robinson.
