Tavistock Ladies 2nds 2 Liskeard 0 TAVISTOCK deserve a round of applause for their performance and victory this Sunday, with only eight players against Liskeard?s 11. The whole team played well, using short sharp passes, and hassling Liskeard to keep the ball away from Tavistock?s goal. The first goal came from a short corner, with a strong and precise strike from Julia Firth. The second goal, again coming from Firth, came in the second half. Much hard work from all saw a good feed into the D by Chloe Bassett, allowing another strike that sailed past the keeper. By the end of the second half, Tavistock tired, feeling the lack of players, and Liskeard managed a few shots on goal. Excellent defending and some stunning saves by Alayna Wreyford kept Tavistock in the lead. Every player on the team deserves a massive well done. The team consisted of Hannah Grey, Julia Firth, Flo Huntingdon-Whitely, Chloe Bassett, Anna Balm, Paige Mcgeachie, Alayna Wreyford and captain Amy Petts.
