POLICE are appealing for information after an incident in The Meadows in Tavistock on Friday evening where a teenager was allegedly assaulted.
The incident, involving a 15-year-old girl, occurred some time after 9pm in the children?s play area.
DC Kevin Hunt from Tavistock CID said the girl had been in the area of the bandstand with other youngsters but the attack happened when she left their company.
?We want to hear from people who were perhaps walking their dogs or taking a short-cut home at that time of night and saw something suspicious,? said DC Hunt.
