AN APPEAL is being made by a West Devon charity for people to raise money for community funding with the opportunity to double their donations.

Activistock is a philanthropic independent community fund, part of the Devon Community Foundation, which aims to support local charities and organisations. The charity, which recently hosted the Tavi Olympic Tune-up concert at St Eustachius' Church, has managed to secure 'match funding' for all donations it receives before March 21.

The Devon Community Foundation funds total almost £3-million —Activistock's fund stands at £30,000. Anyone who would like to make a donation can do so by sending a cheque payable to 'DCF (Activistock Jubilee Appeal)' to the Activistock Olympic/Jubilee Appeal, C/O the Devon Community Foundation, The Factory, Leat Street, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 5LL before March 21.
