TAVISTOCK and District Local History Society is currently compiling a booklet on the history of the Parish and the village of Whitchurch. This will be a companion booklet to Whitchurch Down which was published last November by the society and very kindly reviewed in your paper.
The society will be grateful for information and memories about the parish and the village, also for the loan of any interesting pre-1970 photographs and postcards for inclusion within the booklet.
Of particular interest are aspects of parish and village life, local businesses and occupations, local mining, the railway halt, churches, shops and commemorative events.
