LOCAL fringe arts festival Tavistock Edge met for its annual review recently.
This year saw a very successful event on July 9, even though rain ensured that numbers in the town were low, people enjoyed free entertainment and fun.
The group has now started planning for next year and expressed thanks to the event’s main sponsor, Abode, which has donated £1,000 to give a good start for 2017.
Chairman of Tavistock Edge Richard Hamer said: ‘The Lions and Round Table have also been great supporters and hope they will continue to do so.
‘We would also like to thank Tesco and The Bedford Hotel for allowing us space for fundraising and the free activities we run, such as a free singing group on Thursday evenings and a monthly quiz; details of which can be found on our Tavistock Edge Facebook page.’
Tavistock Edge is inviting any local drama groups or budding artists and street entertainers who would like to help members create a Tavistock ‘fringe’ Edge day on September 8, 2017 to contact the group via Facebook or email [email protected]
