ONE of three special banners advertising the 70th anniversary event at RAF Harrowbeer, over the weekend of August 13 and 14 has been taken.

The banner, pictured above, went missing from outside the former Focus Do It All building in Tavistock, sometime during the event.

Harrowbeer Interest Group member Stephen Fryer said: 'The banner was one of three, especially created for us by Tavy Signs and was on the grass bank in front of the old Focus building. It was there on Friday but had gone when we went to take it down on Monday morning.

'It's possible it has been taken as a souvenir but we would like it back as it was designed to be reused by changing the lettering.

'It was only up about three days and will cost about £80 to replace so we really hope whoever has it will return it.

'We ask them to just put it back on the bank and we will collect it.'
