A CONTRACT with Dingles and offers of work in London await 18-year-old Anna Smith from Hatherleigh after success at the final of the South West Model Search.
One of the eight female finalists, whittled down from 200, Anna was not selected as the overall winner but was chosen as the new face of Coast Clothing by Dingles — she has also been asked to go to London to see various model agencies after one of the judges, a photographer, spotted her potential.
'I had such a brilliant time and so much has come out of it, said Anna, who is studying A-levels at North Devon College. 'I am not disappointed I didn't win because the girl who won totally deserved it.'
The competition will be the subject of a six-part series on Carlton Television in July.
