AN unusual special event aimed at animal owners is being held in Yelverton next month, which will also raise much-needed money for charity.
Maureen Rolls, an animal communicator and healer, will be holding a day-long clinic with all proceeds being donated to Oasis Relief, a charity which helps provide fresh water for poverty-stricken villages in Africa.
Maureen said: 'We live in a country where water isn't a problem and we abuse it, we don't value it, yet in Africa women and children walk miles to get water, which is often dirty anyway.'
Maureen said she communicated with animals telepathically and also had healing powers. She has been successful in locating lost animals, and treating animals with stress and phobias.
She said she had also had success with re-homed or rescued animals and has treated dogs from all over the world, including Australia and the USA.
Maureen, along with three animal communicator students, are offering appointments for animal owners at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church Hall between 10am and 4pm on November 29.
The cost will be £25 per animal during the day-long clinic. Appointments will be necessary — a £10 deposit secures the appointment.
Maureen said pet owners do not even have to bring their animals with them — in many cases, she can work as successfully from a photograph.
