BROADCASTER Angela Rippon returned to West Devon last week with her ceremonial scissors at the ready, as she officially opened a new care home in Lamerton.
The care home, Camplehaye House, will offer care and support for adults with learning disabilities, complex care needs or physical disabilities.
Camplehaye House is the third care home to be opened by Avens Care Homes, which is based in Yelverton. The company currently runs two residential care homes for the elderly but with the opening of the new home it can offer care for adults of all ages with a variety of needs.
Manager of Camplehaye House Chris Bishop said: 'Angela Rippon has been extremely supportive of the work and care undertaken by Avens Care Homes and we were delighted she agreed to officially open Camplehaye House for us.'
