A PUPIL at a special educational needs school in Bere Alston has become the first from the school to complete the Jubilee Challenge.

Andre Marques is a student at Quay View School and was joined on the challenge by the school’s outdoor education teacher Dave Kent. The duo walked the nine mile route 2 course and completed the challenge in four hours and 50 minutes. They were the first team to complete the course and Andre received a medal for his accomplishment.
