Chudleigh v Chagford
IT was a one man batting show when Chagford won this game in the last over by three wickets as Del Lammonby scored 96 not out to give Chagford a three wicket last over win in the exciting game at Chudleigh.
Del had also excelled with the ball dismissing the Chudleigh Overseas Pro Botha second ball and then picking up the the other opening bat in his second over.
With Andy Astley dismissing W Heather for a duck and Clarke being run out for 16 Chudleigh were in trouble at 26 for 4.
However Tuckett at five played an attacking Inning supported by the Senior Heather (23) and John Martin not out 22, Chudleigh reached 142 for 7 in their allotted overs.
Tuckett was clean bowled by veteran Steve Sizmuir for 534 who finished his economical spell with one for 24 as well as adding a direct run out at an important part of the game.
Lammonby finished with two for 23.
Chagford made it even worse, losing openers John Coburn and Henry Lennox Gorden for ducks,
Lammonby added by Andy Astley took the score to 53 before Astley was bowled for 16.
Thereafer it was a one man show with the other Chagford batsmen finding it difficult to hit the ball off the square.
It was a one man show as Lammonby hit the ball to all parts of the ground in astonishing display of controlled hitting and fittingly hit a boundary in the last over, to give Chagford a victory which for most part of the Chagford innings looked unlikely.
With Botha two for 19 and Martin two for 20 the Chudleigh opening attack bowled well and were backed by Clarke with 2 for 31.
