THE mix of performers at the Acoustic Café at The Wharf in Tavistock today (Thursday) is even more eclectic than normal, with the return of the quite stunning gypsy guitars of Matt and Tim.

What the Dodgy Jammers will be playing on their return to the café is anyone's guess. Kazoos, cider jugs, a cardboard box — even a hammer and spanner — have been part of their sound in the past and they are one of the few bands in the world to sing about being baked into a Ginsters pasty.

The Jammers say this is probably their last gig before departing on a European tour so catch them while you can.

Rosie Simmons will bring her haunting vocals and self-penned songs to the Wharf for the first time along with fellow debutantes Nicoletta and Callum Taylor and the evening is finished off by The Eden Project, who never fail to get the audience on their feet.

Doors open at 7pm, the music starts at 8.
