WEST Devon businesses are being asked to do their bit for charity by saving their empty inkjet and laserjet cartridges.

CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids) at Milton Abbot collects used toner cartridges and has a supportive recycling business on board which pays the charity between £1 and £4 for each empty cartridge.

Fundraising manager for CHICKS Tracy Izod said: ?What could be a simpler way for a business to support CHICKS without getting its cheque book out?

?It is not often a charity says that these days and the more businesses that support our initiative the better.?

Recycling helps CHICKS pay to provide free respite breaks for disadvantaged children.

Ginsters in Callington, Ambrosia in Lifton and Millerson Estate Agents in Launceston have all supported the scheme.
