OKEHAMPTON Excelsior Silver Band entertained their audience with a varied programme of music from marches to theme tunes at their spring charity concert.
The guest entertainment for the evening was 14-year-old Amy Paddon who recently won Okehampton College?s version of Pop Idol.
Amy entertained the audience with some delightful singing and a few tunes known by both young and old.
The evening at the Charter Hall, Okehampton on April 22, raised a splendid £400. The band expressed thanks to all those who came to the concert, bought draw tickets and had tea or coffee, which all helped to boost the total.
The band can be seen and heard at numerous events, including concerts, carnivals and fetes, in and around Okehampton during the summer months. The band welcome new brass players, any age or ability, and can provide instruments and arrange tuition.
