I DID enjoy looking at the plans and ideas for a new toilet block and viewing platform in Guildhall Square, until I realised a dreadful drawback, that is you will have to cross the newly realigned Market Road to get to them. Amazing and dangerous! At present, it is quite safe for parents with young children, the elderly and wheelchair-bound folk to use the old toilets when in the square. But it is going to be a nightmare crossing the new moved road even if it is traffic calmed. No way should this building be put there unless the road is blocked off making it a dead-end and so allowing users easy and safe access to the toilets and viewing platform.
