TAVISTOCK Rotary is inviting people to join the club for Christmas Day lunch in the United Reformed Church in Russell Street.

Christine Ellis, lunch organiser, told the Times: ‘This promises to be a brilliant party. Thanks to Tesco Tavistock, the food will be superb.

There will be lots of fun, singing and of course, the Queen’s speech.

‘As always thanks to the generosity of the volunteers there will be no charge for the day.’

Celebrations will begin at 11.30am Christmas morning. There will be a traditional Christmas turkey dinner, followed by the Queen’s Christmas message at 3pm.

Volunteers from TASS will happily pick people up from their homes before 11.30am and will take them home following the Queen’s message.
