RESIDENTS from the Bridestowe area experienced a power cut last Friday evening due to an underground cable fault. A total of 492 customers of Western Power Company were affected at 7.17pm. After more than an hour?s wait half that number regained power. Houses received power in batches until the last eight were put on a generator on Saturday at 1.50am. Sharon Cross, press officer for Western Power Company, said they worked through the evening to solve the problem. ?Our concentration is our customers, ? she said.
