ALLEN Lewis, area representative for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust, said he was saddened this week of the death of a special horse.
Mysterious Magical Moment, owned by Sam of Hogsbottom Garden Delights, had to be put down after a serious accident in the snow on Christmas Day.
Last year in March the mare ridden by fundraiser Allen raised between £2-3,000 in a ride across Dartmoor from Postbridge to Tavistock AFC in the 'Three farmers, a nurse and me!' charity horse ride.
All the money from this ride went to the Bob Champion Cancer Trust and it was this ride that helped launch the former Grand National winner's 60:60 Event which raised £80,000 for this great cause.
Allen said: 'I am so sad about this news as this was an excellent horse and good horses like this only come now and again in a lifetime.
'I would like to thank everyone from Hogsbottom for their support in raising much needed funds for good causes, I will really miss my rides on Dartmoor on this super horse.'
